Mass Spectrometers The Volatile Laboratory is equipped with three Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometers (GC/MS). These are quadrapole MS operated in electron impact mode. Other GCs, with photoionization and flame ionization detectors in series, analyze for BTEX and Gasoline Range Organics. All instruments in this lab are equipped with automated purge and trap. This laboratory is segregated to reduce contamination. |
